Being insecure... A topic we all think about, it just appears, gets to us, and somehow it rests there in that small corner of the brain, just waiting to be provoked. (happens so easily mostly) You don't admit it, you keep quiet, you try to understand it, and yet, yet, you don't.

It's all so normal, but now let's ask it: How did values and what is desirable get so out of hand?

Serbia, a country with great nature, even better food and beverages, yet very wrong placed values makes me nowadays more laugh than question myself, now that is an accomplishment.  Exposing oneself often based on such simple deeds, no thinking just doing, impulses, gambles and well, someone has to say it cheap manners are what push many people forward, be it in a social and TV personality way, or in the everyday life number of friends, clubs and night outs way (please, some experiences are still made to be skipped).

It is a fine line between working on oneself for oneself and doing it to match the masses and become the so-called norm (the opposite of thought-provoking and appealing if you ask me). What always interested me was how do you not lose yourself, question whether to give in to the surrounding and experience that overall acceptance of the masses?

A matter of curiosity and almost a James Bond-like mission, that led me to be here, an occasionally lost in translation blonde, cheerful and well still clueless (although I still blame that movie for my state of mind XD). Faking it till you're making it backfires, at it's finest. when that one crucial moment comes, that hype you invested so much time in creating is at its peak.

I'd describe it as a message from reality, as I still believe it exists, that in the end, normally prevails and the one decision to be made is: What do you do to become, who do you want to be?

- Who says that a dorm room has to be boring?

My mission this year was definitely to prove that it doesn't have to be. Today, it is finally here, it took me long (almost 3 full months to complete), but finally, it is here, my sanctuary, my room, that one personal cave in which I even manage to study (I swear occasionally I do that too).

The colors for this year; a warm red, mixed with lots of blankets and my signature two pillows (both found at Ikea). The walls are a thing I changed completely, new photos, my paintings and of course a thing not to be forgotten, my clothing rack (my most beloved possession). It turned out to be something that helped me finally take control and have a neat and organized closet space (a good trick for you fellow people that also don't have enough of that)

Now, what's left to do is to show you the pictures and say arrivederci! (at least until the next post)

Hmm, what to pay attention to?

 - What not! Look at the daggers at the heels, on the clutches, don't you just want to run around with them all the time. Uh, even the bedazzled ones are wearable, imagine the blue ones with my new dress ^^!!!!
(just a small exempt from my very Serbian reaction)

Fortunate enough as I was, my fashion experience didn't just stop at Dior. Another, but this time afternoon was spent nonetheless at Cesare Paciotti, at their private showcase of the newest collection. Together with it was the display of their dreamy capsule collection (may I add that I am obsessed with the light blue pair from it). The event really held what it promised: A colorful experience...

During Scorpio season I feel especially happy. In case you didn't know, it might be because it's my birthday season, and this year Zaful is helping me in extending the festivities to you guys.

A style is something very flexible, unique, but I am still staying true to some of the essentials: effective colors and details.

When I first saw their newest collection, I was obsessed (still craving some pieces), because of that I decided to share with you some of my top picks. Jeans, a sweater, and sneakers...sounds pretty plain at first. But, when you look at the complete picture: ribbon details, sequin sneakers and a tied sweater (a thing I've been hunting for months), this outfit turns into something special within just a couple of seconds.

In order to make your shopping experience even more exciting, I have yet again collaborated with Zaful and am providing you with additional discounts for your next shopping trip! Hope you will enjoy it and find the pieces to take you through this season!

Milan Fashion Week came to an end, a busy week, in which this year even Agitatrix found its place.  I was fortunate enough to spend my first official Fashion Week event at Dior in Via Montenapoleone. It was a magical evening themed in colors and my second favorite thing: ASTROLOGY. When at Dior, it is only fair that even your Aura turns into a Diora (from now on I will be calling it like that frequently). Different colors presumably symbolize the different aspects of your character, and make for a good picture to take back home. What mine said indeed is a good question?

- Well, besides being a bundle of humor, I am very passionate and determined (or so it seems XD). I'll just say red and purple.

The theme wasn't just randomly picked, it showcased the patterns and embroideries of the new collection very well. The clothes have a stardust feeling to them, the star signs and calendars found on them make them seem almost like from another planet (who am I kidding, the whole store is out of this world)

This is my way of saying: Thank You, Dior, for having us. Cheers, to many more magical nights like that one.

(Newest discovery so far: San Pellegrino cafe, designed in a southern theme, it will blow you away with bright colors, books and what's more fresh pressed juice)

(Radio Rooftop bar, one of the places good for both day and night, my drink of choice is definitely the Mediterranean martini, but ofc a tiramisu can't be missing from the fun)

(Gucci art wall in Brera is one of my favorite places to take good pictures, it is designed to embrace the new Bloom fragrance by the company)

(Posing in hotel lobbies: such a Aleksandra thing to do, a must, also very good lighting usually)

So...second year of Uni. You are finally here, and I'm pleased to meet you. But, before I let the studying overwhelm me and tasks start gathering, I kicked my second year in Milan off the right way. (Italian is slowly, but surely also being spoken, not just understood XD)

I know many find Milano complicated, not to say boring or problematic especially when it comes to finding the right atmosphere (just to name a few descriptions used). In my eyes, it is a place that has a corner for everyone. So, now I will be taking you to my corners, the getaways and re-energizing places. A very merry Aleks day in my home (that is if it is not exam season, otherwise, yes, I live in financial market books and libraries).

P.S. Enjoy your weekend and keep your eyes open, fashion week updates are soon to come...

(also lots of fun at the Martini pop up bar in Navigli)

By now it is safe to say that the randomness factor experienced by me is at its essence relatively high. Exactly what brings us to today's story...

You might don't know this about me, but I used to be a huge Formula 1 fan since an early age (these days the feelings might have changed a bit, yet I still do admire the technology and speed it stands for), so when I discovered that Mercedes-Benz stand right next to Bosco Verticale I was the happiest person alive. What happened afterward, even we didn't see coming.

We were just having fun, taking pictures and laughing a lot when all of sudden we ended up being featured in one of their short videos that celebrate the race weekend in Monza, which btw is super close and the tickets to there are also not expensive. (internally died a bit that point, luckily because of happiness AND, I didn't embarrass myself).

P.S. The sign from the universe that plain, unplanned days always end up surprising you

Patiently waiting, as I have told you so far, I'm trying to work on it, often not really succeeding in it for now tho. Somehow, I still managed to keep calm while waiting for my wonderful packages.
Recently as you might have observed, the blog is actually getting a meaning and dare I say I am proud of what it has become. Also, it brings me the opportunity to showcase a lot of ongoing collaborations, like the one with Rosegal

I was really happy the day the mailman came by (the clothes still make me feel excited). When it comes to the first thing I notice about clothes, it would definitely have to be the quality...which in this case turned out to be really amazing(compared to the affordable price). For 30 dollars  I have managed to get 4 items, that I feel make my closet more complete....(an amazing deal we don't usually get to witness)

Three shirts and a summer dress try on later, my judgment: I will definitely continue ordering!

Tho I wasn't sure how this would fit (the fear of every online shopping), it actually turned out to be a magnificent choice, tho with a daring slit that sometimes can be hard to control. (avoid windy situations)

Now, the Philadelphia shirt, well it is slowly, but surely starting to appear more and more in my outfit choices. Finally, I have found another lounge shirt that is on the same level of comfortable as my Iron Maiden one. (by now even I have seen enough of it)

T-Shirts with sayings, landmarks, drawings and cities...we all possess them, but often they can't be styled the right way, mine, I have paired with a pair of J Brand jeans, and my statement jewelry pieces.

This is one of those outfits you wear when your mood is a bit down. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with the color of the Shirt, the crochet detailing on the back just adds to the whole flair. In order not to look like a canary bird (which can go both good and bad in some respects XD) I decided to pair it with casual leggings from H&M.

Gymming, the word that scares some of us, but also keeps us in shape and motivated in a way (me almost never, but I'd never admitted it this publicly). I was searching for a long time, and then I found it on their site: the Shirt with flair, loose and sportive fit, the gym go to. Usually, I really keep it neutral with the colors, that is what makes my new NIKE sneakers especially stand out.

Made with Canva, pictures via Pinterest

Tho the rest of you still have a lot of summer moments left, for me, it is coming to an end. By the end of the week I will be already strolling around Milan again (and can't wait for it actually, my peeps will already be there awaiting me). The only part about moving I do complain about is packing...Boxes, papers, what to throw, what to bring, what fits in that wonderful VW of ours and what simply needs to wait for its turn always somehow manages to drive me crazy...

But in the end, it is all worth it when I reach that pretty little apartment of mine in the dorm, cuz that is when the magic happens, when the decorating begins.

For me a cozy room is everything. The right place for studying, the getaway for those afternoon naps and the one place that has to feel like home (who wants to feel like living from a suitcase in an understated hotel for 9 months, I most certainly don't)

For this year I decided to switch it up a little and am giving the room a completely new, yet true to myself vibe. How do I plan on doing that? Well. let me guide you through my rules for a both functional and pretty small space.

What I would definitely suggest is opting for a good desk lamp. In my case, I have also invested in a smaller reading lamp that casually hangs from the wooden shelves above the bed. In those crucial late night studying sessions, this will be really helpful since our eyes tend to hurt and get tired more easily if the lighting is too soft.

(this is how I like to keep my pencils too, metallic bins are a really cheap, yet stylish thing )

(don't freak out immediately, these lamps can be found at Ikea for affordable prices)

Another way to add something special to your room would also be maybe adding hanging lights (like the ones in the picture below) or you could also decide for my option: LED lights attached on the wall right along the top shelf, in this way I have gotten a softer light for just hanging out in my room with friends or watching movies. They are easy to install and not that expensive (they can be found in every do-it-yourself store near you).

(the lights around the window make the space feel warmer)

I don't know about your dorm, but in mine, we get those awful white (almost hospital LIKE) bedspreads and sheets. Well, skip out on them and make your space a bit more you instead! Bed sheets are an easy investment that can instantly light up your room, make it more intriguing and colorful (next to the white walls in my room they sure come in handy as a mood lifter). Also, another way I like to do it is by adding colorful pillows, last year I mixed geometric patterns with shades of yellow and silver which gave my room that little something-something.

(mixing and matching doesn't just mean chaos and ugly, this is one good example of it)

(if you want to keep it simple, yet effective, try combining bed sheets in a neutral color with really pigmented, color rich pillows)

(geometric prints are my personal favs)

(pillows make the space seem cozier)

When studying, fresh air is what you need, and what better way to spread positive vibes and fresh air than plants! Tho I'd say not all of us have that much space, we can all still fit in one of these uber cute mini plants that come in a vase. In my apartment I have invested in a small rose, yep you heard me right, it is of course pink and just makes my space feel even more like home.

I hope these tips and tricks can be helpful for you when you start thinking about making that sterile dorm room your own.
